Beginning from my home in Spain, I will navigate to the geographical and cultural edge of China, and then complete the massive, circular return.

I travel not as a tourist, but as a devout listener. My goal is absolute, immersive participation: I yearn to share a traditional meal in a humble home in Uzbekistan; to linger over fragrant tea and earnest conversation with a quiet shopkeeper in the ancient, labyrinthine bazaars of Iran; to feel the raw, rugged beat of life on the boundless Mongolian steppes; and to grasp the profound isolation and unbreakable resilience demanded by the Trans-Siberian traverse.

My commitment is to profound truth and unflinching empathy. This entire endeavor is my personal vow to document and share the simple, yet revolutionary, truth that we are fundamentally and gloriously more alike than we are different. The global road network is the medium of my message, and the countless, diverse individuals I encounter will be my most indispensable teachers.
